8:00 - 9:00 a.m.: The NEW Psychology of Giving

Presented by Kim Wallace, Wallace & Washburn, Boston, MA

New brain research and the emotional side of giving.

Kim Wallace is President of Boston-based Wallace & Washburn LLC Consulting/Marketing. He is Co-author of the publication, “Why People Don’t Buy Things” endorsed by Ted Levitt, Dean Emeritus of the Harvard Business School. He serves as a Faculty member of Radcliffe Seminars, and is a frequent guest instructor, teaching “Marketing Research in the Internet World” at Babson College’s Olin Graduate School of Management.


Session Two
9:15-10:15 a.m.: The Art of Storytelling: How to Create Meaningful Experiences through Compelling Content

Presented by Mary Sadlier and Holly Jensen of (add)ventures, Providence, RI
   
Storytelling is one of the most successful ways to inspire donors to take action. In this high energy format, learn storytelling best practices from industry leaders and participate in an interactive "speed marketing” session.

Mary Sadlier, executive vice president/chief strategy officer
Mary collaborates with client partners to develop strategic solutions to their communication challenges, particularly in
 the areas of public relations, content marketing and digital strategies. She excels at identifying and evaluating information needed to build consensus, while creating road maps to enhance client partner brands. Prior to her leadership position at (add)ventures, Mary led public relations and marketing campaigns at Southcoast Health System. She is an alum of Tufts University and Providence College.

Holly Jensen director, content/strategy
As director of content/strategy, Holly is responsible for working with client partners to plan, develop and execute content strategies across multiple platforms for targeted campaigns. Holly worked previously at Fidelity Investments as the director of social media, as well as a senior public affairs manager, where she oversaw the firm’s community relations work in Rhode Island. She is an alum of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Spalding University.
